Very cool place for local food and souvenirs and neat stuff, the BBQ was great also.

Ribs were mediocre at best, a bit dry and no bbq sauce to be had on the tables. Just ketchup and some overly spicy ketchup. Beans were good, a bit to sweet. Coleslaw was probably the worst slaw I ever had, we threw it out. Beef brisket was surprisingly good, very pleased with that part of the meal. The lady serving was boarder line rude. I won’t be back unless I want brisket takeout and some attitude. The guy that owned the place was nice. Place was clean and well maintained.

I ordered the brisket and they gave me pulled pork, I asked the lady why they gave me pulled pork she said they were out of brisket but I specifically asked for brisket, all she had to was to tell me they were out... Dont go here the place is a joke

Cant get any more tender brisket than what they just served me. Truly worth the stop.

Decent lil’ hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. Brisket was good, but did have more of a pot-roast vide rather than brisket, but it was still delicious. Sauces were great, slaw and fries were on-point. Service was very aloof, but we got our food quick. All-together, great lunch.

Been dying to try this place for sometime now. NOT ANY LONGER! Horrible service, horrible/tasteless "Texas style brisket", baked beans that tasted like they came out of a can, try pork, and the list goes on. Did I mention the slow service? Not sure how they been in business for 40 yrs.

Very friendly and welcoming. We each ordered a chocolate peanut butter milkshake. Fantastic! Would definitely recommend this as a perfect place to stop

Stopped there to get ice cream and it was expensive but it tasted good. They have their own praline pecans and they were great. A lot of nick nacks. Cool place to stop and see.

We stopped here because of the recent positive reviews but I assume woman that took our order is posting them since she seemed upset she had to put her phone down. There was a sign that read “kitchen closed” and when I inquired about the kitchen closure I received a curt “No, we still open...” The curt replies continued through the ordering process. We received our food promptly but at this point we were prepared for disappointment. True to form the brisket was not “Texas” brisket as we are from the state and have never had brisket that disappointing. I’m not convinced there is a smoker or pit even on site as the turkey seemed to just be oven roasted. Do yourself a favor and skip this exit or go to the Wendy’s across the street.

Brisket: excellent. Ribs: excellent. Sliced pork: excellent. Mildly smoked, moist, beyond tender.

Food was very good. The meat had plenty of flavor on it's own. No need for a bunch of flavored sauces. The Brunswick stew is the best I've had in years.

Bar B Q was not cooked on a smoker or grill the brisket was boiled, not good at all. They taught me a lesson to ask for a sample before I buy no matter what bar b q place I stop at from now on.

WONDERFUL food, great customer service ... Very affordable! Blows "Pearls BBQ" away on both price and quality of the food! If you go to Jim's make sure to try the fried corn on the cob! Soooooo good! We will MOST DEFINITELY be back soon!

I would skip this place. The prices were rather high for the small sum which by God and I found the brisket to be fatty and off tasting

Stopped because it was bbq pit, order wings, they came out fried with hot sauce on the side...i was expecting smoked wings from a pit, not generic fried wings. Overly zealous trump supporter with overwhelming amount of Trump paraphernalia, suffocating really. Not a fan.

Actually really good food despite looking line a hole in the wall. Chicken was tender and tasted good. Beans were very good. Potato salad just wasnt my style

How have I missed this place for so long 🤦 literally settling with Wendy's because I thought that's all this Exit off 75 had 😭🤣 Absolutely Amazing and tbh I'm pretty sure they had the best brisket I've EVER had!! Fry's were hot and fresh and the swt tea was perfect 👌 and I'm pretty darn picky about my tea! I'll definitely be coming back and when I do I'd like to try their peanut shake and look through their little gift shop!

This is probably the best brisket around. Good service and good food. You have to check out the attached gift store.

So far as I can tell they're out of everything except pork and fried food. No sweet tea or desserts or sides. Unfortunately quality seems to have suffered as well. Pork bbq sandwich is sort of flavorless and under sauced, dry. Large portion of corn nuggets though. I will be back when this Covid thing is over, hopefully it will be back to its former glory.

Very good 👍 right across the street from the Petro way up there on my BBQ list and that is a hard place to get to with me because I am very picky there is only one place that is better than this one and that is Hades Missouri barbecue at the Double nickel truck stop

Bought the half rack of ribs for 15.99 the cashier said they're awesome....Got back to my truck and was looking forward to a good meal... what I found was the ribs were all fat with little meat no flavor the barbecue sauce tasted like ketchup.

BBQ not typical. Kinda like Arby's Roast Beef. Young lady making food was sweet. Cashier was a little frustrated.

The state of Texas would sue if they knew you used their name on your sign for this food. Sliced pork is just thin ham, and there is a huge difference between a slab of ribs and riblets...ribs should have 1 bone and 1 bone only. Potato salad has zero seasoning, but the garlic toast gets 5 stars.

Great food and a welcomed surprise. The staff is very friendly and the food was fantastic, we had the Brisket and Pork sandwiches. The iced tea is very good, look forward to coming back in the future.

The absolute worst barbecue I have ever had in my life! Please truckers don’t go and waste your money here! The fried corn was cold the potato salad had absolutely no taste at all and if I’m not mistaken the ribs was cold too! As well as having the absolute worst barbecue sauce I don’t know where they went wrong with the barbecue sauce but I think maybe it was old I don’t know it was nasty just don’t do it People!

Stopped over for a bite as we were headed to Georgia. They have good ice cream not much to say about the food

Great little BBQ restaurant. Their potato salad and green beans are soooo good. The garlic toast is better than Sonny’s.

Decent enough place that thrives off of locals. People probably grew up eating here and they assume it is great barbecue. While it is good it is not great. If you read the other reviews they mention the poor customer service. I assume that is how they treat people they don’t know. If you want barbecue and are traveling down the 75 go down one more exit.

We were excited to try this place especially since they advertise Texas style. The food was less than mediocre, bland with no flavor. The bar-b-que sauce was horrible. Arbys offers a better meal then this place. 2nd complaint, the staff. Female worker was drinking a bud light while working, very rude, and quite honestly we almost turned around and left. 3rd. The place was filthy. Table tops sticky and smelled as tho a dirty rag was used. However the tables had food on all of them including the floor. As a foodie I definitely give this establishment a 0

Pork sandwich was thin sliced ham on cheap buns. Brisket was better but still way overpriced and still on a cheap bun. All plastic utensils and disposable products but the average meal is $10

Now I absolutely love good barbecue and Jim's was mouthwateringly delicious! I had the brisket, ribs and pork. The meat just falls off the bone, the brisket melts in your mouth. The baked beans were excellent! My daughters enjoyed the wings as an appetizer and they said they were great too! It is located just south of Gainesville, they even sell gas so you could have a two for one. I will definitely stop by again if I am in the area. We also took some mini pecan pies to go.
